Many years have passed since that day I walked into the “cosy” office of Vosper Thorneycroft in Portchester Shipyard. An interview was on the agenda. That day turned out to be a very special day, not only did I get the job, but also gained a very dear friend – Hilary. A true friend that was like my mum in the UK. Still have difficulties to understand that you’re no longer with us….. Even if I never got a chance to come over and see you and give you big and warm hugs, I’m so pleased we talked on the phone. I can still hear your voice, same old H. Despite what you were going through, you were still same old H. I bet you could still have told off the lads in the workshop!
